Welcome to a well-equipped, newly built house close to the lake and outdoor life.
We really like the period from the end of May to August and there is plenty to do. Keep in mind that the house has an open floor plan between all levels which makes privacy a bit limited.

Holiday home by the lake

You may come here primarily to relax and unwind. But if you want to do things, there are many options!

Walking and cycling
Around the house there are plenty of forest paths to walk or cycle on. Simple bicycles can be borrowed. Easy to get around the lake or to the COOP grocery store in Hassela.

Bathing and bubbling
If you rent our lakeside holiday home, a well-maintained spa bath is included. The only thing you need to remember is always to shower before bathing. We take care of the rest!

Bathing and swimming in the lake by the house
We have no sandy beach at the house. Please bring bathing shoes. It is best to take the swimming ladder down into the lake. At the raft it is not deep, about one meter and it slopes slowly outwards. It is possible to go round after the boat or borrow the paddle board, see below.

Boat – berth
Boat rental is available. If you have your own boat, there is a “natural ramp” for launching next to the house. There is a mooring at the jetty.
SUP – paddle board
It is free to borrow our paddle board, the Deep Sea. We also have an older windsurfing board that we use as a SUP. If you’ve never tried it, this might be the right time, as the audience is elsewhere!

Autumn – the gold of the forest
Chanterelles are plentiful in August and especially in September. Depends on the weather though, first rain and then sunshine for a couple of days. But not only chanterelles can be picked. There are Karl Johan mushrooms and many other edible mushrooms, but we are not mushroom experts.
Blueberries, lingonberries and raspberries are also normally abundant.

Other things to do nearby
Hasselabadet – Swimming pool and simple lunch. Adventure for younger children.
Riding an Icelandic horse– Welcome to Halls Horse farm. On the farm you can ride Icelandic horses in beautiful Hälsingland all year round!
Hasselabygdens Golf Club – An 18-hole golf course in a scenic environment surrounded by forest, water and meadows. The par 70 course is quite short with several short par 4s that give you the opportunity to make both birdies and eagles.
Visit the wildlife park in Järvsö – The Wild Kingdom is home to Nordic animals such as moose, bear, wolf and many more species. They are in as natural an environment as possible, on their own terms. The wilderness is just over an hour away by car, about 78 km from the holiday home.
